What Is Extremity Mobilization?

Extremity mobilization refers to chiropractic manipulation and other mobilization techniques performed to the joints of the arms and legs. Often people think of Chiropractors as being just “back doctors,” but Chiropractors are trained in manipulation of ALL joints, not just the spine. And, since the body is so interconnected, extremity joint problems can create back problems, and vice-versa. For example, a runner with decreased joint mobility at the ankle is going to have much more stress from the impact of each step being transferred up the kinetic chain, which can cause SI joint dysfunction and lower back pain. Treating just the lower back for the pain will only be partially effective, since the cause of the pain is actually at the ankle. Therefore the doctors at Body Logic will address any areas of joint restriction, not just pertaining to the spine

Client Reviews

I was in an automobile accident that left me unable to turn my body. I couldn’t even turn my head to look at someone without severe pain. Dr. Amanda Meyers- Kuper and the Body Logic team turned my entire life around in a very short period of time. Dr. Amanda is an angel right here on earth. I drive quite a distance to get to my appointments, but it’s worth every mile.

We do everything together, including going to the chiropractor! We schedule our adjustments together and it never fails, every time we go, we’re not only feeling better, but we’re most always laughing. Not only is Dr. Scott knowledgeable and thorough, but he also has a great sense of humor! While we take our health seriously, we enjoy the relaxed, positive and upbeat environment at Body Logic. We’ve each had a lot of trauma in our lives, but we always feel lighter and better about life when we leave. It’s an uplifting, positive experience.
