Why Nutrition Counseling?
Nutrition has an incredible impact on our overall health and well-being. Making healthy dietary choices can have a positive effect whereas poor dietary choices can have a negative effect. But how do you know what your body needs?? Dr. Amanda’s personal health journey along with her formal education (Master’s Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition) helps guide patients to make the best choices for their individual needs. The first step to determining your needs is to schedule an initial consultation.
What to Expect?
Dr. Amanda will ask questions and discuss many of the different areas of life affected by your nutritional status, including your overall health history, dietary choices, energy levels, digestion, sleep quality, and much more. She utilizes the notes from the initial consultation, results from completed questionnaires, and your blood work history to determine the best nutritional approach for your health and your goals.
The initial appointment is 45 minutes. Dr. Amanda will gather information needed to determine the necessary steps to achieve your personal goals. The first follow-up appointment (30 minutes) will be scheduled for approximately 10 days after the initial appointment. In the first follow-up visit, Dr. Amanda will present her recommendations for achieving your personal goals. Future appointments are determined based on the recommendations provided in the first follow-up visit.

Dr. Scott Kuper, besides his great “hand’s on” techniques, he diagnosed that I was lacking calcium lactate. Since I have been taking the Standard Process calcium lactate supplement my muscle cramps are greatly reduced.
On the verge of having a Hysterectomy (due to overgrowth of the uterine lining) Dr. Amanda suggested doing the Standard Process 21 day Purification Program. After completing the program a follow up ultrasound showed the lining had decreased by half. I have had no further problems since then. The only thing I did different is follow the program. Made me a believer in what we eat effects us inside and out! The plus, no surgery!

Why does Dr. Amanda need so much information prior to my appointment?
The body is complicated!! A person’s lifestyle has is a big determining factor of his/her health status. Dr. Amanda needs to know how you are currently living your life to make the best possible recommendations to meet your goals.
Why does Dr. Amanda only see nutrition patients on Wednesdays and Fridays?
Dr. Amanda is actively treating chiropractic patients Monday-Friday, and even Saturdays! Establishing a set appointment time allows her to provide you with her full, undivided attention when she meets with you. You’re worth it!
Why do I have to schedule the 1st follow-up with the initial appointment?
Due to Dr. Amanda’s limited availability, our scheduling needs to be planned and consistent. She’s worth it!
Why do I have to pay a deposit in order to schedule?
Due to Dr. Amanda’s limited availability! If your paperwork and homework are not completed in advance (5 days prior to your appointment), you will forfeit your appointment day/time. There will not be enough time in advance for another patient to have the paperwork completed in time for that appointment.
What does the cost include?
The cost is reflective of the face-to-face time with Dr. Amanda- 45 minutes for the initial consultation and 30 minutes for the follow-up visit and recommendations. She then dedicates time outside of patient interaction to evaluate your information and develop a protocol specifically designed for you. Once recommendations are made, the costs covers the 12 weeks of accountability calls to help you succeed and reach your goals.
What is Dr. Amanda’s success rate?
The answer lies within you! Dr. Amanda has a deep understanding of the human body and how to support health through nutrition and lifestyle changes. However, if a patient does not follow the recommendations, success will be hindered. She has achieved personal success including adapting with food sensitivities discovered in her early 20s, preventing the onset of autoimmune conditions that she is genetically predisposed to, and is maintaining a healthy weight through adulthood including two pregnancies in her 30s. Dr. Amanda has successfully assisted patients, both personally and professionally, with meeting their health-driven goals ranging from weight loss to disease management to successful pregnancies. At the end of the day, it’s up to the patient to determine how successful the process will be.
What nutritional supplement companies does Dr. Amanda use?
Dr. Amanda is a firm believer that not all supplements are created equal. Unfortunately, there are many false claims and false advertising among supplement companies. Therefore, Dr. Amanda only sources from high quality companies that are monitored and tested for safety and potency. The most common companies she utilizes is Standard Process and MediHerb. She also recommends products from Pure Encapsulations, Dee Cee Labs, ASEA, and Researched Nutritionals.
