Detox Your Body in 2017 with Essential Oils

Our modern lifestyles leave much to desire when it comes to our consumption of chemicals and foreign matter into our bodies. We may not intentionally consume them; however, between the air that we breathe, the processed foods that we eat, what we use to clean our house, and so much more- well, we just cannot get away from all the nastiness of the modern world. The best things that we can do for the health of ourselves and our families is to work towards avoiding such chemicals and detoxifying our bodies. Essential oils are a great way to help purify your body and your home.

There are some actions that we can take to work towards avoiding these chemicals in our bodies. First, be mindful of what you consume. Processed foods and drinks like sodas possess a myriad of different chemicals. By eating and drinking cleaner, we can limit a good portion of the chemicals going into our body. Second, be mindful of what you’re inhaling. Smoking is an obvious source of breathing in chemicals, but one that you may never think of is your cleaning products. Be sure to wear a mask, when possible, while using chemicals to clean – or better yet, switch to natural based cleaning products. Another huge one is beauty and skincare products. Many people don’t realize this, but the skin is the largest organ of the body and since it covers your entire body, anything that you put on it will be absorbed into it. So, be sure to use natural makeup and moisturizers whenever possible.

There are also actions that you can do to help your body rid itself of the chemicals that do make their way into your system. Essential oils are a wonderful aide in helping with this process. Every essential oil has unique properties that benefit our bodies in one way or another. Below are a few common essential oils known for their detoxifying properties and easy and fun ways to use them in your daily life.
