To our beloved Body Logic patrons:
In compliance with the state of Virginia’s closure of non-essential businesses, including the massage industry, Body Logic has elected to stop providing massage services effective Wednesday, March 24, 2020. The closure is expected to last until April 24th, pending any potential changes made by Governor Northam or the federal government. We are sad that we won’t be able to provide the much needed stress relief and pain management that massage offers our clients and patients. However, we respect the need to help slow the curve. Please keep our amazing massage therapists in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They work hard and care deeply for our community; and to be told to stop helping people through their gifted hands is challenging. We are keeping in close communication with them. They send their well-wishes and prayers for health and safety to all of you. You may have questions regarding how this impacts you…
I’m a Body Logic massage member. What happens now?
We are grateful for our massage members and appreciate your loyalty to our office! Some members are unable to redeem their March massages. That massage will be waiting for you once the restriction is lifted. Body Logic will not debit your account for the massage membership draft for April. We will reevaluate whether or not we will draft in May based on further guidance by our government.
I have a massage gift certificate that is going to expire. Can I still redeem it?
We will be “freezing” all gift certificates while massage services are unavailable. The number of days that massage is unavailable will be added to your expiration date. We want you to get your massage!
I had a massage in the last 2 weeks. Should I be concerned?
We want to reassure you that Body Logic has taken precautions to prevent exposure to COVID-19 for both our staff and our clients/patients. There has been no known exposure in our office at this time. We are compliant with CDC regulations and have increased our sanitation practices above our normal high standards.
Body Logic remains open for chiropractic services.
We feel a commitment to our community and fellow health-care professionals to remain available for chiropractic services. Did you know the #2 reason for scheduling a doctor’s appointment is low back pain, second only to the common cold? Given the current health status of our country, we can help lighten the load of our emergency medical staff and family practitioners. Please know that we are here for you!
If you are a patient, you may have questions regarding how this impacts you…
What sanitary precautions is Body Logic taking?
Body Logic’s office is professionally cleaned. In addition, our staff is taking hourly sanitary precautions, following CDC guidelines, and limiting contact among patients and staff. Please note: we are not utilizing personal protective equipment such as gloves and masks because we do not come in contact with bodily fluids. Due to the worldwide shortage, we feel it is important that PPE is best used by our healthcare professionals coming in direct contact with the virus.
I fall under the high-risk category. OR someone in my house falls under the high-risk category. Should I still come to my appointment?
That is entirely up to you! We are taking sanitary precautions noted above, but completely understand if you prefer to remain home to be safe. We are making daily reminder calls to find out if you will be attending your scheduled appointment. If you know in advance that you prefer to cancel or reschedule, please feel free to contact us first at 757-427-0355.
How can we help keep Body Logic safe?
The health and safety of our staff and clients/patients is of the utmost importance. Here’s how you can help:
- If you are exhibiting any signs of illness, particularly coughing, fever, or shortness of breath, please call and cancel/reschedule your appointment.
- If someone in your home is exhibiting any signs of illness, we ask that you call and cancel/reschedule your appointment.
- If someone comes with you to your appointment, please ask that person to wait in the vehicle while you are in your appointment to limit unnecessary exposure.
- If you have small children that you must bring with you to your appointment, please limit the number of toys you bring from your home to 1/child. We also ask that you bring sanitary items such as hand sanitizing wipes with you to help us save our supply for your fellow patients.
- Please wait to enter the office until your appointment time to prevent unnecessary contact with other patients.
Are office hours changing?
Yes. A big THANK YOU to everyone that responded to the survey sent over the weekend, we have been able to start planning with data. Change is necessary to ensure the health and safety of our community as well as the financial state of Body Logic. We are working to finalize office hours and staffing to become effective Monday, March 30, 2020. Please be on the lookout for another announcement later this week! Body Logic will be closed on Saturdays until massage services resume.
We thank you for your support and understanding as we adapt to the current circumstances in our community, city, state, country, and world. For the most up-to-date information, please follow us on Facebook.
